Each fall the Office of Rural Health Education and Services hosts the Kansas Career Opportunities. This event is designed to introduce medical students, residents and other health care professionals to rural communities seeking health care providers. This event is held at the KU School of Medicine - Wichita and at the KU Medical Center in Kansas City. Panel discussions on current rural issues are aimed at residents in all specialties, medical students and their spouses. Rural Kansas communities are invited to exhibit at the conferences and discuss health care career opportunities in their area.
